Here is just one of my many samples to my collections. I am willing to share knowledge with you. My collections range of Rolexes, Tudors, Omegas and many others start from the era of 1900s Rolex Pocket Watch to 1965s AirKing.
The last submariner and IWC that I sold with many regrets....I never find another piece. So Vintage Rolex Watch Collectors if you are holding any in your collections. They are rare and highly sort after around the world.
This is a 1930s Vintage Tudor gents watch, it is an unusual shape in pink rolled gold. The dial is stamped with Tudor under numeral 12 and Rolex Watch Co at six, slightly above the second hand. It is still in working condition and keeping the time well +- 2 minutes, subject to weather condition. I can say I have the only piece in Singapore. The numerals are typical of the 1930s era.
I have many other Rolexes and I will show you eventually when I get the time to take some pics. I collect them as they are.

Hi RWC (Rolex Watch Collectors instead of Rolex Watch Company),
Here is another piece of vintage, do remember, anything over 20 years old and under 100 years old is called vintage.
On display is a piece from the 1950s era,
The pink gold is coming back in style. The style of the watch is typical of the 1950s. The numerals and the second hands at six. It is a transition from 1940s to the early 1950s and the second hands at six will slowly disappeared and reappear again in recent edition of rolex gents watch. The one on display is a boy size or typical gents size in that era with dia approximately 25mm.
Hope you learn something today, as for the sport edition of rolex, I remember somewhere in my boxes of Rolex watches, there is a vintage 1940s sport rolex watch. I need to go and search for it.

PS: I was told not to display the link (or shortcut) to my blog which I will constantly share information on watches not only just on Rolexes. The blog I kept is solely to share information to all watch collectors and not for profit generating.

When you are my age, with failing eyesight, you need bright coloured dial to see time clearly.
That is also why some delcious aunties need to wear bright coloured prints of Feragamo/Gucci dress.
Good morning yesterday, You wake up and time has slipped away. And you end up with gold Rolex - ah, it's not a bad trade. Beats waking up to find half the leg gone from diabetes or 3/4 of the lung removed due to lifelong smoking.

According to Warman's field guide, "generally speaking, anything made before 1960 is considered to be vintage.....anything made before 1920 is considered to be antique.....vintage to be any watch that was made before the advent of the LCD quartz, battery powered time peice."
So, that means vintage is pre-1970. So now my DJ 16014 is not vintage....just old stuff. Like me.

Hi Darkangel,
It is cool, thank you, the reason, I do not have to retype the whole story from the blog into here, just the highlight over here and the details if those who are interested can further their curosity in the blog. It is just an information blog I tried to educate the collectors. I will make it interesting for the watch collectors, especially, those RWC guys out there or here.hahahaha

Hi Uncle Ricky,
100 years old = Antique
20 to 99 years = Vintage
This will be the right definition when you are dealing with overseas Antique shops.
To be honest, if you got a watch that is 80 years old, I would classify them close to being an antique and you would find them in the antique shops.
So the saying goes, close enough is good enough.
