  • Overhaul recommendations.

    Hi,

My dad has a vintage 6694 that is no longer working. I have an intention to repair it for him for his birthday. As I do not own any Rolex, I would like to enquire where I can get it repaired? and any rough indication of price?

    Thanks.

really hard to estimate, depends on condition of movement.

whether doing at RSC or not, i think good to get a quote from them.

    can cost 1K...

Apart from RSC are there any other reputable sources? Is there a cost to request for a quotation?

      Thanks.

P.S: i am not working there or in any way related to Top hour...Just a satisfied customer...

          Thanks for the tip.

I sent the watch in for repair with Mr Lim. I must say I am impressed with his service. Though quoted less at another shop, I decided to go with him instead. He offered his honest opinion when I asked him should I proceed with the repairs. Told me no need to rush, can go other shop or RSC to get 2nd opinion and explained alot of stuff to me.

Now just have to wait for the final product!

            Service / Repair cost

            Hi HelmetBox,

We probaly share the similiar encounter here. My dad just pass me his 6694 which he had bought it in (1977) crown has went off and can't really tighten back, but movement is fine.

Since you had visited Mr Lim, may i know how much he quoted you on the service and repair so i can get myself prepare.

            Thanks!

                he does other watches too.

but best to bring down the watch for quote.
