Seeking Assistance : Please help identify this Vintage Rolex

Can anyone help in identifying this model??

My dad wanted to give me his Rolex a few years back but back then I was young and told him EEEE AH PEK MODEL!! I dun wan. But recently, I managed to learn to appreciate a good old vintage Rolex.

Asked him about it today and he laughed and said I know you will want this sooner or later. He then found out that I recently bought a ball watch and told me that I could sell his rollie for another watch. I was touched and told him that I will not sell the watch because this is something that connects the both of us, father and son.

I would like help from the experts here to assist in identifying the model of this Rolex. I only know that this is a datejust.

Hi Bro, it should be 16233 not 16223.. There are plenty out there in used second hand shops with many choices.. You may pop by a few shops to compare prices.. or you may do a search in the forum for it. Cheerz!

Yup. Got to know more about it in this forum and yup I agreed that it is depending on how you dress that brings out the beauty of the watch. Who knows, maybe my next few generations might put it on ebay to sell then happen to be like bob in US. haha.
