Rolex 16800 plexi glass conversion possible?

Just acquired a Rolex 16800 Matt dial recently and have this crazy idea to find out has anyone done this conversion before. Does it worth the risk? Like the 16800 as it it has quickset compared to 1680 but love the too hat of the 1680. If it's possible may I know which plexi glass to install. Many thanks in advance.

For me....i would not do it. The beauty of the 16800 is the matte dial vintage look wif the advantage of sapphire toughness. Regards...P

The crystal dimensions and inner case rings are different.

It wont be possible to convert sapphire to plexi.

Yes agreed the toughness on sapphire but like the vintage plexiglass though..

It is not a perfect fit so it has to be additionally sealed.
In my opinion its better to leave it original.

Bro, may I know your conversion is it sapphire glass for your 1500?
