aside from the butterfly movement, which I don't understand and people can't see anyway, I like the engine turned bezel and pointed index.

I just bought a pre-owned 1501 myself today, with engine turned bezel and silver dial and regular index. immediately changed the thin oyster bracelent with an inexpensive light brown (almost orange) leather strap. it looks great, my new favorite rolex now!
