I am thinking of a customised watch project.
Anyone knows how to create faux patina for dial and hands? Tea, ciggy smoke?
Are these any shops or operators who perform in Singapore who offer such services?

there's this person in sg re-creating patina watches that are a homage to vintage panerais.
could contact them to see if they do such customisation, think its called reed or reeds

if you're creating an inexpensive custom watch (IYO), it is actually more fun to buy a luminova kit and mix your own lume and relume the hands by yourself.

it's not difficult but i recommend buying extra sets of hands to make different tones so you can pick the most suitable set when it dries.

of course, if you're talking about expensive hands, then disregard my advice...!

I heard you can dip it into tea over nite and leave it out to dry.
But i also heard that it could somehow create rust on the hands although its SS.

I dont know, i guess it more fun to try it yourself.

I am also on a personal project to customise my Original Submariner dial.
Especially so since i know i'll never sell the watch being my first Rolex 15 yrs ago.

Hopefully all turns out well.
