  • Price History and Gauge: Tudor Monte Carlo Ref 7032 (Circa 1970s)

    http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...er/7031AK3.jpg

Above picture is a borrowed one just in case some are not in tune with what I am writing about.

More than anything else in the world (for the moment), I am on a serious as a heart-attack hunt on a Tudor Monte Carlo Ref 7032 circa 1970s - aka "2 registers". I know these are very hard to come by these days but would like the opinions of collectors who have had the chance to witness the exponential price hike on this particular piece.

Having said that, there's an ebay auction on a Tudor Monte Carlo Black Dial circa 1970 going for USD $ 35,000 which is astronomically high but I dared not make any judgement for a Tudor Monte Carlo 2 registers, as I have heard, has been auctioned off at The Antiquorium - where any prices are possible.

While I love my Rolexes, I am way into too deep, beyond controllable means of dazing off into the manifestation that one day, this watch will find me as opposed to vice versa.

Wait I shall but in the meantime, can anyone post any information on the historical presence on this Tudor Monte Carlo amongst the Rolex Vintage Sports Models from the 70s right up to today?

    Appreciate your input!

I'm not familiar with the monte carlos, but Heirloom Gallery recently sold one for S$15k. Not sure which version.

1stly, there's some history on the black dial MC on ebay. the same piece's being offered for the longest time on VRF and some members have given the seller some grief over it. google is your best friend.
As to pricing, the 7032 'Home Plate' has softened a bit over the last few months, like almost all other watches but I think it still hovers around S$19-S$25k, without b&p. If I am not wrong, you can check with bakpat (?), a member here, who was offering a piece at one time.
There's a serial collector of Tudor MCs who has started a blog and one of his main entry is about this collection..google?
      Have fun!
"Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence,
three times is enemy action and
over 600 is clearly the work of an ancient Sumerian demon or some sh*t
