Explorer 2 ( diff between tritium and superluminova

Any bros out there can advise? I was considering a sub(16610) or a explorer 2 (16570) as a daily beater and one of the sales man in a preowned shop try to sell me his explorer 2. He was telling me that there are differences between tritium and super luminova dial and the tritium dial is more collectible. I was a bit confused as I thought he was trying to sell me the older model.....btw he have quite a number of explorer and some with pinhole and some without.
Any bro can guide ? Or shld I get 16610 instead cos the sales man told me white is nicer than black making me cannot decide thus asking all the bros here for help

for the models with white gold surrounds on dial, i don't think tritium means more collectible. just means it's older.

Just a technical point tritium watches by now would have lost the illume effect but the superluminova model will still grow brightly in the dark as luminova are newer and tend to maintain glow longer. Just a point to help you along with your decision

The only reason why tritium is more "collectible" is that it will develop patina over time. Some like it, some hate it. I personally am a sucker for such patina white gold surround or not

That's why I pulled trigger on the Sub with tritium dial ... Was considering sub date or ND / Explorer 2 ...drop explorer then hesitant whether ceramic or aluminium but got a GMT 2C and really cannot tahan when I saw the sub tritium ....anyway I personally feel that the 16610 is classier than 116610 ..

My advise is if you like tritium sub, go for the Matt dial ones.
