A technological and aesthetic feat, the new Cerachrom bezel insert is obtained by a unique process developed and patented by Rolex which allows this ceramic component with two distinct colours to be produced as a single piece. It echoes the traditional two-colour bezel of the original GMT-Master and GMT-Master II models. The Cerachrom insert, introduced in 2005, has the advantage of being virtually scratchproof, highly corrosion resistant, and its colour is unaffected by ultraviolet rays. Its diamond-polished surface presents an exceptional lustre. The engraved 24-hour graduations are coated with a thin layer of platinum via a PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) process.
strange , wont be it copy old design ? It cool to see new color design & it match the new era ! Lol
For every minute, the future is becoming the past.
Very interesting when i saw this quote :
Planning ahead is a measure of class.
The rich and even the middle class plan for future generations,
but the poor can plan ahead only a few weeks or days.

Lucky Plaza outlet has a piece in the safe and is selling above retail at $12,500. My review of the piece:
Under dull light, the bezel appears complete black like the old GMT. However the blue turns evident when light becomes sufficient. It's great to me because the entire piece is very easy on the eyes that it looks classic sometimes when the blue is not obvious and appears a little more modern when the blue crawls out from the dark. Happens that the type of blue on the bezel is my favorite color! I personally dislike to have red on the bezel as it looks a little too harsh IMO, but I know many are drooling after coke and pepsi bezels for future launches. I like this new launch as it retains the DNA of GMT as usual but makes their breakthrough invention recognizable by adopting a color combination that has not been used before. Also the color combinaton gives more meaning to the piece since it represents day and night. However some might be disappointed because the dual color on the bezel might not be very obvious all the time, since blue doesn't contrast best with black. I personally like it very much as it appears different under various light conditions. Another thing you might not like about the watch is the GMT hand on the dial because under low light condition the GMT hand might appear invisible since the color doesn't contrast as well as red, even green, that untrained eyes might mistaken the piece for a Sub, since the blue on the bezel will not be obvious in such situations too. To be honest I think the previous GMT looks more "Rolex" with the green GMT hand, since green is Rolex color. But in a nutshell, I love this new Rolex piece that satisfies my craving for both a GMT & Sub at the same time... Will be getting one myself soon...
At the current price, the buyer has a choice of GMT IIc TT, the Sub c TT or this GMT IIc BLNR. The TT seems to have better value and can retain its worth. So better to wait for a few more months for the premium pricing to fizzle out before getting it. The movement of this new model is the same as the old GMT IIc LN, which means the buyer is paying a premium for the bezel and blue GMT hand only. Just my 2 cents..
the clasp on gmt2c is different from the clasp on sub c , latter using the glidelock clasp which is very easy to do micro-adjustment - meaning a much better fit
the gmt2c clasp on the other hand include only an extra half link for limited adjustment
i think the new blueblack gmt2c follow same clasp as all black gmt2c
Yes, I do awared that the clasp on black GMT IIc and SubC is different. I wish Rolex will use the SubC's clasp on new GMT IIc B/B... but apparently it is not. Thanks nimm12 for the info.
Here's an posting of the new GMT with comments from owners (including one who thought he prefered the Pepsi combination, but bought new GMT immediately having seen the physical piece). The bezel is very lively, brought out by the blue contrasting with the black.
