You may consider buying it online from "Rubber B". Or there's a seller in the forum sales garage who is selling another brand of rubber strap for ROLEX watches.

Was thinking of purchasing a black and a red Rubber B for my Sub C. Checked on the official Rubber B site and GMT Watches came up as the official distributor.

Was wondering if anyone here has purchased from them before and will they do fitting? And how much do they charge per strap? Might pay them a visit soon.

I asked a sales rep at THG if he would help to change the strap on my Sub C - he informed they are not authorised to deal with anything that is not original Rolex produced.

To me, the nicest rubber strap for a Sub is a Tropic diver strap, made of natural rubber.
Some vintage subs were issued with these straps as i understand.

These are Rolex specced meaning 20mm x 16mm and can be fitted with an original Acerinox Rolex buckle.

Thats how i wear mine.


They can be bought from various strap specialty shops and can easily cost usd200 each without the Rolex Buckle.

RubberB and Everest are also nice modern interpretations

Officially no.
It was not made by Rolex but 50yrs ago, in house rules were not as strict and some Subs were sold without bracelets but on rubber straps. These were swiss made tropic straps.

It was during the same era that Daydates can be issued with straps as per buyers preference. But daydate straps were Official Rolex items. Daydates have today been reissued with a strap version to capture a softer side of the market.

Perhaps one day, the Sub will be issued with rubbers. May not be too long from today.
