Slight disappointment with the Sub C clasp finishing

Was removing the stickers on the clasp earlier and found the inside of the double clip disappointing. Didn't notice it previously, the inside of the double clip was grey and rough. When compare to DSSD, DSSD have a much better finishing.

I have the same type of clasp for my GMT2C and I find it quite nice. The sandblasted finish is not a result of poor workmanship/quality but an intended design. It might also serve a purpose of differentiating the clasp/bracelet of different models or series...I don't really know.

Such combination of polished + sandblasted metals is quite common on accessories such as rings and bracelets.

Ok Ok sorry...I just check mine, that part is also sandblasted but not as rough as yours. It does looks like poor finishing if brand new is like that. Maybe can try complain to RSC and see if they would replace it for you.

Just saw a article on the differences between Sub C and ExII/ GMTIIC, not sure if the double clip is the same for both clasps.

My clasp have the same issue but i'm perfectly fine with it.. Never found it an issue till you highlighted it
