i hav tried on both before...

in comparison, the milgauss is more appealing but the polished centre links are a pain... prone to scratches...

am not sure how to feel abt the exp 1... when it was 36 mm, i find it rather small as a sports watch...

now, though its 39 mm, the overall look did not seem to get better... it is true tt the dial is nice with is clean design and all... but due to the increase in diameter, the watch looks very flat now...

perhaps if it could be designed 'thicker'...

Thanks for the inputs guys. I've gotten the Explorer 1 36 mm. It grows on you the more you wear it.

Had an explorer 2 and going to get an explorer 36mm soon.
39mm explorer's dial with short hands doesn't seem balance and I hate its thick lugs.
Will put an alligator strap on the explorer and wear it like a dress watch... until I have the $$ to get a Saxonia thin...

I had both but sold the mil gauss. Explorer 1 is flatter and lighter than mil gauss. I feel it is more comfortable and versatile.
