GMT anyday for me.

GMT of course ---rotable bezel adds to its beauty and is an asset for recording the passage of time (eg. 11 mins to cook spaghetti)

If you can only have one, the GMT Master IIc is more flexible for travelers and looking at a secpnd time zone, due to its movable ceramic bezel. And you don't have to worry whether to get the black or white dial, the choice is made for you! \o/

I have owned both..

Only advice I can give is that if you run, bike ride etc regurarly a watch with a bezel comes in really handy for timing so the GMT Master would win - I used the GMT more and eventually sold my Explorer 2 for this reason.

Just by its popularity per se is a good enough reason. More popular=more demand=hold value better IMO.
