Got the blue Sub WG without having to trade in the Patek Chrono 5980.
Glad I did not let go the 5980, as this has been discontinued by Patek, so thanks again to those who asked me not to execute the trade.

It's not about the color of blue - it is about PP and Rolex. PP wins hands down, anytime. Anyway I prefer green to blue, lol.

Prob with the Smurf is that it looks pretty similar to its lesser brothers like the Black Sub. Some may even find the blue/black GMT 2 more striking at less than 1/3 the value of the Smurf. I am glad you kept the PP.

I think we shd not be too hung on what Boss thinks. Most impt is that we dont come across flashy loud or boastful. Nothing wrong with appreciating the finer things in life. Surely your Boss will still recognise a $35k smurf if you wear it to work.
