Lum Colours

Hi all,

Does anyone know each and every Rolex sport's Lum colours?

I know DSSD is like blue when illuminated, what about the rest?

Like Daytona, sub, sub LV, GMT, GMTII, GMT IIc etc....

If possible can someone list it all out?

Also, will the lums die out over time?

used to be green, recent new models are using blue
they call the blue 'superluminova', now they call the blue 'chromalight'
the blue looks a tad brighter, not sure of lifespan

some tritium can still be "recharged" for a short while, in others you may still see them glowing faintly if it's very dark even without "charging" (eg, dials from the 70s or even 60s and 80s). but they will die out over time.

some of my radium bezels/dials behave the same way when exposed to light but i've never noticed them glowing without a "charge." this was used up to the late 50s/early 60s when they switched to tritium.

they then moved on to luminova in the late 90s and (very) soon after, the more expensive super luminova, which were both green like the radium and tritium, and then recently it finally evolved into what skydweller said about blue chromalight which i know nothing about as i have no modern rolex watch...! but it's probably similar to super luminova - just a rolex "home blend."

so they are using all blue lums for the new watches? what about HULK 116610Lv blue too?

some dress models use a mixture of blue and green. i believe all new sport models are blue lumed... but i'm not sure. my "youngest" rolex was discontinued in the 2000s before blue lume.
