Seems that the Daytona was fitted with the Parachrom hairspring since the year 2000. The hairspring "became blue" only in the year 2005. So between 2000 and 2005, the Daytona model will have the metallic colour Parachrom hairspring.

So which movement is better since both hav the same parachrom blu hairspring?
                4130 or 3186?
                Thanks again...

You ask yourself what do you want?

2 or 3 time zones for Exp II or GMT II respectively with date function? if you are a frequent flyer or traveller that keeping time for 2 to 3 places are important. (ha ha.. in case you have family everywhere)

Or you need the chronograph function? you are in sport or any kind of business that you need to measure time.

Daytona 4130 movt is more sensitive than 3186 as it also store more energy (up to 72hrs), for that you pay more...

The movement inside the watch supports it's function. So these 2 movements serve totally different functions and would be difficult to compare on a one to one basis.

You should instead focus on the functions you want or need for your watch.

3186 is the BEST of the best movement among ROLEX as it is the most accurate! Proven!

My ex-GMT II was +1 second in 30 days! There are a few GMT and EXP II owner who concurred that too.

YM is really for sailing ? was told by WP that YM really serves no purpose though marketing for sailing. Maybe a YM2 has more relevant functions ?

YM is just a ROLEX watch that has no specific function except the rotating Bezel can use for tracking time.

a simple rotating bezel does the trick too. good for trying to offset different times.

like my watch is set to gmt and synced properly, but my work clocks are like 10mins fast
