Ceramic, more scratch resistant than metal

old one can just replace insert, but ceramic is hard, but still breakable... replacement cost is much higher.

the more expensive ceramic, despite being more scratch resistant and less prone to dings.. will break if impacted beyond its limits..

imo ceramic finish is better unless u are very very rough with the watch... of which the material of the bezel would not have mattered

Ceramic. Beautiful bezel as compared to aluminum. It's scratch proof and very durable but it breaks easily if mishandled.

i think u are referin to 14060m as the 114060 is the new ND sub ceramic bezel.

i would buy the Sub as it is most classic and won't go wrong.

some felt the Exp1 is slightly too dressy.

Milgauss is an acquired taste and not all will like the look.

Both aluminum and ceramic bezel sub is a good choice... Classic with out the Cyclopes... A more balance look...

Explorer is also nice... I like tat watch too... Suitable for office wears...

Go try all on yr wrist and see which ones shots back to u...get tat watch...

I got the Submariner with Aluminium bezel as my 1st Rolex and I have been loving it since then. I feel Submariner is an iconic Rolex sports model. I like the size, big crown, simple dial (with just date and time) and cyclope. But you are getting the Submariner without Date, which is also a good choice. Without date, it's easy to adjust time as date is not needed anymore. It's already discontinued. You are still able to get it from 2nd hand dealers or any buyer. I feel the price is quite alright, about S$7k or less, you should be able to get probably a old V-series. I may be wrong as that's my guess.

Remaining Explorer 1 or Milgauss are good choices too. For Milgauss, I always prefer the GV. In any case, give it a try, all models should be easily available. See which one sings to you. But I believe, you will buy all 3 in future. That's always happen to most Rolex watch collectors.
