i bought the Milgauss GV but sold it within a week of wearing. somehow the green glass did not work for me when looking at watch to tell time.

maybe next time will consider the normal black milgauss.

the white milgauss a bit plasticky imo.

      Any particular reason?

On the side note, is there a particular AD where you guys purchase BN Rolex watches? Was browsing through the forums and don't see many purchasing from the Rolex boutique itself.

Any recommended ADs? Do leave me a PM if it's too sensitive to post here.

          TIA.

I would prefer Milgauss than Explorer I, though I don't own either model. I feel the GV is more unique as I like the green glass (one of the three greens, submariner green bezel, GMT green GMT hand and green glass of GV Milgauss). This piece also highly sought after when it was launched, heard it gone up to S$20k when it was retailed $8k or $9k during launch. But fever subsided and now there is even slight discounts from retailers. I think current retailed price is more than $10k.

Both Milgauss and Explorer I are similar, just time function and no date, thus no cyclopes. But Milgauss is able to withstand strong magnetic fields. It's supposed to be for engineers who work in such places, but I think mostly people wear it for other occasions.

In any case, a Rolex is always a solid built with good resale values. Get the one you like most. And I believe you will have both pieces in your collection in future. It happened to alot of Rolex fans!

nice sweet vintage milgauss. The thunderous second hand in new models makes a classy rollie look out of place

I would go for brand new Exp I 39mm. Looks awfully good with that matt dial.
