            • Evening guys,

Newbie here, planning to buy my first Rolex, a GMT Master II, 116710LN. This has all along been my plan till I saw the older model with red & blue bezel , think the model is 16710 if I m not wrong. Have some qns to seek the advice of seniors here -

              1. How long has the older model 16710 been on the market?
              2. Is it possible to get it brand new?
              3. If not, any advice on how much a pre-loved model would cost? Jus need an estimate will do.
              4. And any reason why one is better than the other?

              Thanks in advance.

I am not exactly sure how long this model has been in the market but it should be close to 50 years since its 50th anniversary model (the 116710) came about in 2006. It is not impossible but will need a miracle to find it brand new now. A pre-loved model should set you back between mid 5K to late 7K, may be 8K, depending on which series, condition, etc.

If you are comparing why the ROLEX 116710 is better than the 16710, read this.

                  • Hi guys, anyone knows if we could replace the 16710 bracelet with the 2-tone oyster bracelet (on the 116710)? And how much wold the damage be?

                    • in the first place, can the new bracelet end links fit into the old case lugs?

                        • I wonder the new gmt2 stainless steel can change to strap a not, i found the stainless steel very heavy on my wrist and not use to it. Before owning this rolex i only wearing a Timex watch loh so light.

i wonder who have change to strap instead of the heavy metal ?
