I decided I shall not wait and got my 1st Rolex Sub with Date today at Orchard Road....The new SS model although will have the glide lock bracelet, I do not really fancy the middle shining part...it takes away the 'magic' of the whole Submariner watch..if you know what I mean...also the ceramic bezel makes it too formal ..not rugged anymore...not classic anymore...

It was between the Explorer II and Sub with date...finally decided on the Sub with date...

I bought my Subdate from Champion Time at Bencoolen. Those who are interested to get their rollie can go down and visit. Lady boss very honest and give good pricing. My friend got his SD there first then i got my Subdate.

nope, no LV Sub, saw a GMT IIc (BNIB) though..

i called them yesterday and they confirm their Sub sold and next batch will only come in Jan(1st week), if you keen in LV Sub, drop them a call.

I also ordered one piece from Yeo Kim Choy, he selling a LV Sub which he just collect from his supplier so if you keen can beep him as well.

Sorry not quite familial ard, so who or where is Yeo Kim Choy??

Thanks Bro...If I am free next weekend, I will try to upload some pictures..I am learning the ropes on how to take care my new baby...Do any of the brothers out there know any website link that teach you how to maintain your Rolex? like how to clean it, how to care for the sapphire crytal on the watch, when not to set the time and date...e.t.c.??

I am thinking to buy a watch winder as well to wind the watch daily..Will using the watch winder daily on your Rolex cause any problems?....

Hi first of all happy new year to all sg roc members.

I have a question, i would usually use non quick-set to set time and date for my 16610 m serial, by turning the crown clockwise to reach 24hrs, example turn one round 12 hrs date won't jump, one more round of 12 hrs, date will jump at 12. I adjust the time on the 30th dec 2009, after unworn i put it to watch box, till 31th night i took out and wear again, i was at coffee bean, i look at the watch, going to 12, rightfully once min hand hit 12 date should be 1st, problem is it took 3 mins after it jump to 1st, anything wrong with my watch

I bought the watch aug 2009, never notice it, as i don't keep track whether it will jump at 12 or not, i am not a night owl.

Is there a need to visit rolex building?

My watch warranty card dated jan 2009.

My Rollie changes date at 0003hrs. It's normal. I read that the date can change anytime between 2355 to 0005hrs. Cheers.
