RSC recomended to only wind 18 rounds if you do manual winding... But to completely wind up, it takes abt 30 rounds. Wind until you feel some resistant then you must stop. Btw, rolex watches cannot be over-wind, so dun worry... A properly service watch shd have the second hand started moving by the time u wind 18 rounds. Just my RM2cents of comments.

Just a simple (and stupid) question here...how to wind a rolex watch? Understand that we should wind it to kick start it if it stopped. Never do it before since I'm wearing it everyday.

Just bought my first Sub (1st Rolex in fact) yesterday. Always thought Rolex was an "uncle" brand, but the Sub really proved me otherwise.

Few questions as usual for a newbie:
    a) in all my excitement, i forgot to ask how many hours on a human wrist would be enough to power the watch fully.
    b) say i got a watch winder, whats the recommended mode for winding? they have many modes obviously, in short: wind by the minutes or wind by the hour?
    c) saw somewhere winders may do more good than harm to your watch?

    TIA and appreciate all replies
    Congrat in ur new purchase....
