That'll be either an 'F' or 'D' series I suppose. Well... I think you can try to bargain for a lesser price. I recalled a friend who sold his white dial Explorer II (2005) in full set about a year ago to a pre-owned watch shop for $4.4K. In your case, may be mid 5K is reasonable?

while the 216570 brand new is retailing at around 7.5k

question is - why can't the 16570 cheaper?

It is all in the instruction booklet that comes with the watch. I think you will use the 24 hr hand to reflect the time in SG and the hr hand to reflect the time in States.

When I am in US, I will first adjust the time so that the GMT hand reflects the Singapore time hour. Then I will set the hour hand to the local US time zone.
