  • agree that sizing should be done by svc ctr or 3rd ppty if not confident or 1st timer on this.

    i size all my watches by myself except for my Rolex. i feel it is very easy for the screwdriver to slip and if the screwdriver head is too small may also mark the grove of the screw.

    • Hi Explorer fans, anyone wearing a 214270?

      i am in the market for one BNIB piece.
      yesterday went to rolex AD to take a look and blown away by the simplicity and clean look.
      i think i will like it.

      what are your thoughts on the Explorer if you having the new 39mm one?

                • Beautiful ilum shot! Remember never to charge the indices using led light. It's actually harmful to the watch.
                  I don't have enuf watches but I will stop buying now!

                      • Hi guys, can anyone confirm the latest servicing cost at Rolex for the previous explorer II (16750)? Someone posted in the servicing thread tt Rolex has increased the cost from $790 to $920 for his sub! Urggg!!!

                            i heard it has increased. why don't you give a call to RSC to get an indication on where the price will start from.

                              • i dont know how true this is but i read watchwerkz posts that charging using led is not the right way.

                                one of the reasons i can think of is led is used as a light cure device in dentistry work. this is used to dry up the dental fillings they place in your teeth. it is also used in nail salons to dry nail polish. based on this i would think that high exposure to led might age the lume markers prematurely.

                                not sure if the lubricant in the watch will be affected too.
