I recently bought a used Explorer2 from a watch shop. D series. from one of the web site I found out that Rolex
started engraving serial number inside the bezel just prior to D series. But mine come without. Anything wrong
with the one I bought? Can someone help?

Which website did you get the information from? I thought the 'engraving' only started from the late 'Z' series onwards?? I'm not too sure if the 'D' series models come with it.

Ya, agree with Bro Oceanklassik. The engraving only started with the late Z series. D series do not come with engraving.

Nope - don't see any for 14270 or 114270.

ONly 114270 late Z-series come with chapter rings and plastic warranty card.

I din know the number but is light and looks cheap compared to current new models

All white gold markers. 3-6-9 with a bit of illumu. 14270 illum more than 114270 for 3-6-9

If it is 1+ yr, likely is V series. 5300 is very reasonable provided the condition is good with no dint and come with box and gcard.
