Mark I is the first generation for new DSSD 116660, there is a small different in the design of the Dial compare to Mark II
The painted Rolex coronet has changed style to look more like the coronet on other Rolex dials.
The "E"s in "DEEPSEA" now have a shorter middle line in the "E".
The "S" in "SEA-DWELLER" has been changed from a "flat" S to a "round" one.
The "ft" font has been changed.
The "=" sign is not on Italic anymore but runs as two parallel lines.
There is now a larger gap between the ft and metres depth rating, aka "Gap Dial"
Mark III , heard is that the spacing of "=" is shift toward "12800ft" leaving more spacing for 3900m ( 12800ft = 3900m). See the different.
Mine bought on May is (G series , Mark II)

Mark II & III very slight different,
Overall if u only look at the whole dial u may not notice the differenceROLEX.

thanks for the photos, prefer the newer version with the literature spaced slightly further apart
mark1 dial looks rather 'cramped'

agree its rare and unique
i can see 10 sub C date on the street before spotting a dssd

lesser in production which compare with various ss/yg/wg material.
There is only one solid design. I prefer and keep hope it keep that way as too much owner will make it a common watch. Don't u guys agreed?
