Once you get used to the weight of DSSD, you will fall in love with it daily as not having that weight on my wrist will make me feel blue and is like something is amiss.

I guess it means the bracelet has to be fitted just nice to the wrist size
yes, definitely. Or else the watch will be quite painful due to its sheer weight. takes a while to get used to it, like many before me have already mentioned.

Wah, it's almost double of last retailed price of discontinued SD. I recall just barely 4 years ago in 2008, SD was retailing about $8k+. Now the DSSD (though totally different than SD) is almost double the price. Too bad, DSSD is too thick and too big for me. For those who can wear DSSD, that's so lucky!

I guess the thickness is so as to ensure water ratings of 3900m

Exactly, and try find any other divers watch with these ratings kept at a small, and refined 44mm.

This alone shows you how special this watch really is.

( excluding oil filed quartz watches. )

                              Oil filled quartz goes deeper
But 3900m in a 44mm automatic while maintaining a wearable thickness makes dssd an engineering marvel

hence why I said EXCLUDING oil filled.

Yes it's a marvel for sure... I agree..... And also my wrist looks marvelous when I wear it also.
