  • Daytona w inverted 6

Hey all, came across a D serial 116523 with the inverted 6 dial. Anyone knows more about this? I thought it only happens in the older series. Does this make it more collectable? Thanks

Bro, it may be the saleman tell you wrongly lah. Not D series. Sometime saleman give wrong details. Ask them for cert or check the watch series no.

I checked the cert and the watch. All numbers correspond. It is a D serial. I took more than a second look. Watch was under warranty until recently too (dated on cert 2006). Will have it verified at RSC to be sure. Will update you guys.

Bro maybe you can take a pic and show us. Or you see the dial is the inverted 6 at the lowest bottom centre.

              Hmmz strange

Maybe a case of a changed dial. But read from somewhere that the older Zenith dials won't fit the new Daytonas. Also the orienation of the sub-counter functions are also different.

                        Hmmz

Ya. Neither have I, the inverted 6 was something that happened sometime back I have seen it so far only in the Zenith's. Well I guess we'd only know for sure through RSC.

I saw it once. It happen in D series and some other Z series, This is call the Error dial. something like the GMT stick font dial. But people don't really go for it as it is not like the GMT ELEVEN. and it is not Zenith movement. My advice to you is don't buy as it is TT RIGHT? iF it is SS then maybe can consider and depend on price wise. You may want to consider the GMT ELeven stick font dial. Pls see this link: http://www.sg-roc.com/showthread.php?t=9424

You are welcome and congrat that you have one. Keep it.

In Rolex nothing is impossible! there are many kind of special dials I have come across a inverted 12 dial daytona. the owner when to verify at rsc and they changed a dial for him immediately without seeing the warranty papers.

Therefore, those have and yours GMT Stick font dial remember don't send for servicing. They might change the dial for you. If sent for servicing pls tell the staff not to change the dial.
