THG @ Tangs, LP, Raffles, Taka, Millenia, Orchard C.... easily millions of dollar of OH, rental, salary, etc costs...

selling here? Zero costs....

I use their one shop only for 10 min to buy, maybe add up the times I drop in to ask the price, at most 1 hour, cant expect me to pay the rental for all their branches right haha

relationship will defeinitely help. but if just long time one watch, then makes no difference. if you intend to use amex card for the points, then the discount wont be very good.

do note that even though BRABUS recommend you there, you may not get his discount. u must be prepared hor.

To a certain extent only, I agree. But at least, one still has to do a bit of homework first before an approach. I'd been a victim of several "good relationships" so-to-speak.

Depends on the business turnover .......... if the sales turnover is very big and mostly large transactions ................ the credit card charges are slightly more than nets (lesser than 1%) ............. Thats why 2-3 years ago, we gave up the nets terminal.

I could think of is "it makes my life easy and risk free for me". They swipe your card and don't run into the risk of miscount the notes they receive. In case, they are given in $1000s and $100s and $50s demoninations. Furthermore the discount they give might not be attractive, probably the benefit from the points earn is better. And they are not willing to give more discount to maintain the premium price. From my angle, it is win-win situation for them.
