Zenith Daytona crystal hair line scratched

Newbie here

I just got an daytona white dial zenith movement year 1995 from a friend last week. Discover a 2 hair line sctrach on the top of crystal.
Just wonder Daytona crystal in 95 made of sapphire crystal or acrylic?

Since it is make of sapphire crytal, any possibility to make hair line crack by normal hard object other than diamond.

Am worrying that this could be fake daytona.

a hard impact could break the crystal even......

i ever saw a lady DJ had a big chip at the edge of the crystal....... i dunno how it was done but it happened.....

So depend on the impact condition
Will try to polish with normal cloth & see whether it will still cause scratch line?
If more scratch line, will return the watch back.

normal polish cloth will not cause any scratches unless your cloth is soil/dirty that have particle that will cause the scratches. Then again, crystal is quite hard unless is sharp object go over it.

acrylic can be polished off buy the polish cream, but not crystal.

to change the crystal or acrylic is cheap in comparision of the money you spend.

Can share the cost of changing the crystal?
Just found additional 2 light scratch that make all 4 scratch.
