  • Noob: help wanted regarding GMT II Pepsi 16710

Hi all, I'm looking to purchase my first Rolex - the pepsi GMT. As it has been discontinued, I won't be able to find it at any shops, and hence will need to purchase it 2nd-hand.

What would be considered a decent price, and does it matter which series is it?

Thanks for the help in adv.

depending on which series (which tells you which year that watch was produced), condition of the watch, and what comes with it (paper/cert, box...etc.)

suggest you do a search at the garage of sg-roc and gauge the price.

Depending on the watch condition and what items come with it, a decent price range is between late 5K & mid-6K. It should not matter which series as long as the price is reasonable.

This shop at Lucky Plaza... one level above the Asian Food Mall, displays only Rolexes.

PK should refer to a pre-owned watch company styled "Peng Kwee". They have several branches islandwide. As for their reputation on their watch pricings, you may search the forum for it. Plenty of information to read up

Compare around, bro. But of course, some people prefer to buy from a shop rather than from online dealers, which are generally cheaper.

To me, there are no advantages buying from a brick and mortar shop if you can buy from someone online that you can trust. There are a few in this forum, not difficult to find.
