i use my chrono at least 2-3 times a day whenever i wear it. i usually time my drives/rides (eg, from home to work, lunch, parking, from work to home, etc). i sometimes even time red lights so i know which gears to shift into... rolling start!

when i was overseas and used to own a daytona, i keep my chrono running 24/7 as a "second time zone." i only owned it for 2 years (pre-owned), but i had no problems with it.

but for my vintage rolex chronograph... i won't leave it running 24/7... too precious.

should definitely run it once awhile, however if you seldom wear it better to run it whenever u wear it.....otherwise the chances of breakdown very high....in the end you face a situation whereby the normal time keeping may work but the stop watch won't work.still need to sent for expensive repair, nt worth it!

It won't wear out so fast but not advisable for 24/7.
How many time do one look at the second hand anyway?

            Question to all Daytona owners

            Hi
Does your chronograph seconds hand point exactly onto the 60-units per hour marker?
Noticed mine is slightly off-mark, to the left.
            Is this a defect?

            thanks.

a picture will be good for us to answer your question. Mine will point exactly at the 12 O'clock crown when reset. =)

By right it shouldn't be misaligned, you can bring back to RSC and bring it up to them. They will help you adjust it back.

Off but once in a while i play with it just for fun and to make sure it works.. Good work out for that second hand too. Won't leave on all the time as other mentioned, wear and tear.

all must point exactly at 12oclock position
if its off mark , even slightly , bring to rolex center

There is no reason why it should be off center, calibration should be praised especially for a chronograph.

Mine point straight at 12 or the 60 units per hour mark.

In resale market, SS Daytona is the most popular and highly sought after by many buyers. it's all about supply & demand stuff.
