Knowing that the new Rolex Explorer II (42mm) has been launched recently, will it considers wise to buy the older model (40mm, remaining stock) now? I cannot decide even knowing that the older one (40mm) costs lesser by 2k.
Really hope to listen to some experts’ opinion, and considerations.Thanks.
For the appearance, I find both the newer and old one are equally attractive.

Kind of decided on the 42mm already..but now back to limbo after watching the talking hands review..they mentioned the 216570 looks like a pop swatch with the enlarged hands..hmmmm...Only a Rolex will do for me..a tradition passed down from my father and his father..
I have a love-hate relationship with rolex, i hate the prices but love the pieces..
Proud owner of a Rolex Explorer II 216570 polar since 27/2/13..okay..not anymore

Ignore the critics. Pop Swatch? Talking Hands review has probably written for people more interested in Casio G-Shock!
42mm is the one to go for. It has a great presence compared to the older version which looks much smaller, kinda resemble a boy size watch. I have tried both on and the 42mm just pop out nicely to me.. in the end, I got my first Rolex pop.. 216570!

The 40mm is more versatile I share it with my wife who like to wear it as well
But tat said buy the one that smiles back at you when you wear it
