hmmm....
thinking of buying link from grey market?
think twice now...
now are u able to tell which one is real and which one is fake?

i need to be constantly aware of what I am holding when handling these links....
colour is almost the same and colour difference shown on pic is only because of lighting and flash.

Right but you can't tell from afar like the topic starter mentioned.

And for the fake... the pusher for the chronograph function are just mainly aesthetic. No use at all.
I actually saw one 'AAA' that the chronograph is actually functionable but then again the 'click' sound is just so unacceptable.

What abt the chapter ring matching the serial numbers to the accompanying box an papers when purchasing from grey dealers new or used? Would that be at least 99% foolproof?

Don't need visual inspection. By holding it in your hand, you can feel the difference !
