hi guys,

what is the costs involved for a full polishing for a sub and where to get it done? also how much and what does a full overhaul include? Aft a servicing approx how long will the sub last before it needs to b serviced again. Sorry abit long-winded but 1st time buying.. so deciding between the costs.. thanks!

different watch shops/technician define full overhaul different.

full overhaul can can be servicing the movement only
full overhaul can can be servicing the movement only + polishing
full overhaul can be servicing the movement + water pressure test
full overhaul can be servicing the movement + water pressure test + polishing.

factor to consider when servicing watch, the turn around time from sending in to delivery of watch upon completion. some can take 1 week, some can take 1 month, some can take 3 months.

another factor to consider is for polishing, how much polishing is done. some watch technician will do minimum polishing so as to 'preserve' the amount steel. this may mean that dings and dent might not be 'removed'. for some technician, they just polish until the watch is like show room condition, this can mean that the amount of steel taken off during polishing is high.

as such, the price can varies.

a full servicing usually can last on average 3-5 years depends on usage.

thanks for taking time off to answer my queries. hw much would it roughly cost to remove hairline scratches only? and any shops to recommend?

costs only a few dollars to remove hairline scratches, buy the burgeon brush pen and brush off the scratches.
will not thin your case or bracelet like machine polishing.
