One thing that you guys should be aware of is that the local ADs DO NOT have control on what series they will receive from the headquarters. So, whatever is delivered to them, the ADs will have to sell. I think more importantly is when the date of warranty starts. You should be more or less be assured as long as the watch is purchased directly from an AD.
This episode may also serve as relevant information to those who still can't figure out why there are people who'd insist to buy from a local AD and not from other 'less expensive' source.

I would say 9900 is quite a fair deal, wheras 9500 and below would be considered a very good buy.

TS, I have check with RSC on my GMT IIc half gold production date. The production date is August 2011 and my serial number is Z42XXX6. By the way, I have saw another Z186XXX lady datejust for sale in AD too. I have saw a Submariner Ceramic with L18XXXXX - 7 Digits too. Seem that Rolex is confusing people with their latest numbering system !!!

Yes nim. Z4XXXXX ending with 6 numbers and production date is Aug 2011. Verify with RSC and confirm. First they thought production date is earlier but when they check on the system, they say maybe mine is a half gold that why slow moving unlike stainless steel.
I have saw a Rolex stainless steel lady date just and serial number is ZXXXXXX ending with 6 digits too. Stock just arrive too in the AD. It is a reputable AD - THG. The LXXXXXXX serial is weird to me though. The Sub C that I reserve come with that serial and I choose to take another piece. I learn my lesson with my GMT.
I might be able to give more feedback when I go to the AD and look around for such serial number like this.

That is something new to me
Either it means rolex produced it earlier in 2006 and kept it in stock till it recently QC and sent for cosc certification in 2011; or the sales person made a mistake
The L ending 7 instead of 6 numbers i believe was the short series between V and G, lasted about 1 month, probably was a trial test for the 8 digit system
Thing is, there's probably 2ways to beat the 1mil limitation, either you add an additional zero behind the 6 number system hence increasing every letter series by 10x to 10mil, or you use the alpha numeric 8 digit system, either way its 8digit
Guess rolex in the end prefer the random alphanumeric system?Patek Philippe Nautilus (5712G, 5712R, 5726A)

Rolex GMT-Master II (116718LN)
