  • Advisory Sought : Cost To Change Daytona Dial

    Hi ,
Do you guys think its worthwhile to get my White dial 116520 change to a black dial ?
It will cost me $530 for the parts and $100 for labour .
They will also take back the white dial from me .
BTW my watch is less than 1 mth old , so duuno if i should change or not .

the list price for both black and white is the same when is new. however due to cult status, the price commands @ different premium

cost of replacing works to a total of 630. in asia, the black dial is more sought after. in western countries the white dial is more sought after.

the price between black and white dial is about 500 if watch is less than 3 years old, after that the price difference is less than 300.

more importantly, do you prefer the black or white?

        one month old?

i suggest you keep the watch for a period of time.... wear it more often....

then decide whether u like the white or still yearn for the black ....

no point change liao then regret.......

When i 1st set my eyes on the Dyatona , the white looks nicer to me , but after awhile seems that the black is nicer .
BTW which part of europe can change the dial and keep the original dial ?

Thanks guys for your advise , But i won't buy another SS daytona any time soon just because i want a black dial . But i might consider the TT Daytona though .
BTW the watch is less than a month old , and only wear it once to a Dinner for a few hours , For work i wear my PAM 111, prefer leather straps than braclet, especially both my GMT and Daytona can get scratch just by putting my hands on my desk and typing the computer .
BTW any one can confrim which contry allow us to change dial and keep the original dial ?

Might consider going to that country for my year-end holiday with family .Hehe...
Actually don't mind paying that amount of money to change the dial , but if i get to keep my dial it would be perfect !

The change of dial to black for $600 does not depreciate the value of your watch hence it is ok, but make sure the black dial is genuine and brand new.

                            SS Daytona Black Dial,
SS GMT II coke, SS GMT IIC, TT GMT IIC,
SS Sub Date, TT Sub Date Black,
                            SS SD,
                            SS YM,
                            SS YM Mid Size,
