  • Deepsea (116660) or SubC (116610LN)?

I am just wondering whether to get a Deepsea (116660) or SubC (116610LN)?

    Deepsea vs SubC
    - Deepsea more expensive (14140 vs 10640) -> 3.5K more!
    - Deepsea bigger size (44mm vs 40mm) -> I am ok with both size as I got large wrist
    - Deepsea higher water resistance (3900m vs 300m) -> I don't dive that deep anyway
    - Deepsea does not seem so common than SubC

Any suggestion or advise bros to help with the selection? TIA

SubC (116610LN), because I like to have the cyclop for a ROLEX watch
SubC (116610LN), because the build of the watch is more proportionate than the "big-head-small-bracelet" DSSD
SubC (116610LN), because it wears more comfortable on my wrist
SubC (116610LN), because I will not dive with a ROLEX watch whatsoever

Deepsea because it is one heck of a solid watch! The Sub C just doesn't appeal to me unless it is the Hulk version. If it is Sub C, I'll rather go for the GMTIIc for the added GMT function.

Deepsea is too thick height wise for shirt cuffs. And too heavy for everyday wear. Too much stuff going on front face text wise.

Sub C is better all round wearer and better balance/proportioned. Sub C LV (green) or WG (blue) would be my choice (WG blue is very expensive though!)

Don't forget Sub-C dial is glossy while Deepsea dial is matte.
Sub-C crystal is flat while Deepsea is domed.
So up to your preferences to choose more bling bling or not.

Buy what you like, since you have a large wrist, you have more options. Just go try out both watches and see which is suitable for you.

If budget is not really a concern, then I would suggest go for a DSSD. Anyway, you have big wrist so it should fit you better. Enjoy your hunt ...

I got a small wrist but still go for DSSD - never regret, solid piece.
SubC ok but only it's the hulk

Thanks for all the comment and input.
Unfortunately, so far I do not have a chance to try out deepsea.
Maybe will see which AD has and try out first before commit.

The case is almost double the normal case to me. Its thick. Reserve for it at AD but cancel it as it look real funny for people with small hands. If they can invent deepsea to be the same thickness like the rest of the sport series, it should be a hit.
