  • Adjusting time on Sub

    Hi,

I tried to adjust the time after it stopped movement. When i done adjusting and push back the crown, it did not moves. But I need to gently shake it then it moves, is this normal?

    Thanks in advance.

This watch holds an automatic movement and you will need to wind it up (about 20-30 turns) to make it move. When you wear it thereafter it will continue to move and once you leave it to rest for while, it will stop again.

Try reading up more on the Internet or watch mags.

Yes as Bro OceanKlassik has said you must wind the watch before you put it on or set the time.

Cos I think it prevents lateral pressure on the winding stem which, over time, could damage the crown tube($$$).

(senior members correct me if I am wrong...)

Sorry for my noobie question, but winding the watch means when i pull out the crown at the 1st pull right (2nd pull is the date and 3rd pull is the time)? And winding must be in which direction, clockwise or anticlockwise?

Thanks to all for your time and advise.

I seriously wonder who you'd bought the watch from and if it comes with a watch manual

You are correct in your descriptions above and you have to wind the crown 'away' from you, i.e. in clockwise direction. More in a 'pushing' motion.

Say if you hold the crown with your right hand thumb and first finger, the 'pushing' motion will be when you start to wind it when your thumb pushes the crown. If this is confusing, then just know that you need to wind the crown in clockwise direction.
