The wider lug, maxi dial is the new Sub Ceramic but its ceramic insert seems to have been replaced with the ALU insert....and the classic sub seems to be wearing the ceramic insert instead?

Am I right?

Or maybe its the lighting, the insert on the right looks more like ceramic?

I will stick to 'old school'. Why?

First & foremost, I still like the design and build of the 16610 very much.
At the current price point of the 116610LN (using AD's as reference), it is not worth.
There is not likely to be any new 16610 produced, so it should get lesser over a long period of time.
The looks of both are closely resembling & unless in close proximity, you cannot really tell a 116610LN from a 16610 from afar.

That's precisely my point, dear friend (my earlier post refers)! You can't even visually differentiate which is which unless both are held closely together in your hands, so the price difference (to me) is not really worth.

With reference to the pic, the pc on the left is the ceramic-bezelled 116610 and the other is the good, old 16610 ! And both are brand new & original, taken out from the showcase in a local AD, UNMODIFIED!

Regretted not getting the classic black sub when I had the chance last year.
Price was good then. Got something else.
