  • Price for a 1675 pepsi bezel?

    Hi Guys,

I'm a very very newbie to watch collection and would like to learn more from you guys here

I would like to get a 1675 (Pepsi Bezel) with 1570 movement. So would be grateful if can help to answer a few questions of mine:

    1) What is a glit dial? (And why is it more collectable?)
    2) Difference between a 1675 and 16751/16752?
    3) Which is more collectable? Pepsi or coke bezel?
    4) What makes the "Pointed Guard" version more collectable?
    5) What is the current market rate for a vintage 1675 pepsi bezel without box and paper?
    6) What to look out for when buying such "Vintage" watch?

Btw, can anyone enlighten me on the term "LV"? Cos been seeing it on some sales.

    Thanks

    Keith

Well for the vintage side. Wait for the experts in vintage watches to come and help ya.

LV is Lunette Verde. It means green...it's the term used for the Submariner 50th anniversary model.

Btw...I am not a vintage expert and I am just sharing my opinion.

First, whether it is Pepsi or coke, they are all collectible. I would say it is more to individual preference whether you like it or not.

Most of the collectors are very particular of the original set of watch hands and dial (markers), the color of the hands and makers must match.

If the watch hands and markers are not matching, for example one white and one yellowish/cream color, obviously they has been changed and this will strongly affecting the value of the vintage watch.

For the price of 1675, I am not too sure about it. But I can say it is pretty much depending on the condition of the watch. 2 years ago I had an offer of 5k no box & paper.

        Cheers,

16710 6k onward is it referring to brand new or preowned?

I brought my Z-series 16710 brand new last year at 6.3k.
