I personally love the GMT2C more than the Sub, esp the cool green third hand and the polised centre link; but the Sub more practical to me cause I sometimes like to wear a watch on right hand and sometime on left (yes, I'm weird) and sadly, my right wrist is quite a bit bigger than my left, so the glide lock for Sub is handy....

Still torn between the 2 - like the GMT2C for the look and feel, and like the Sub for the glide lock. Why don't GMT2C comes with glide lock then all my problem solved! Damn!

You can alwiz buy an extra glide lock bracelet.

If you are a traveller, then I think a GMT2C is appropriate else a SubC would be good. However, if budget permits then you may wish to consider both.

From price wise, you can get GMT2C at a lower price as compared to SubC (which is new and apparently priced higher). Get a GMT2C first if you have budget constraint.

        Just 1-cent worth of comment.

        Enjoy.
Just another small small small small watch user ....

Prefer sub as dial is cleaner. GMTc has polished center links which scratches will show easily.

I have choosen GMT IIc because it offers more functions but if some1 look for cleaner dial then sub is a better choice.

for me i dont bother much about scatches. watch is meant to wear so enjoy it.

Really a dilemma between the 2 models.

Prefer GMT's look of the dial, as I don't really like the divers bezel compared to the evenly designed GMT hour bezel.

But Sub comes with better clasp and new lume compared to GMT's polished center links which I hate.

Both has its pros and cons, and thus the dilemma between the 2 for me.

I got the GMT recently and I regretted and hate it because of the center link. It is practically a lousy design and get scratch, finger print like no tomorrow.

                  For function : GMT2-c
For more durable from scratch and diving activity : Sub-c
@first i wanted to buy gmt2c and @the end im ended with sub-c, for its brushed steel bracelet...

Both are great watches and super difficult to decide on which one. I'm likin the GMT 2c for its extra function & the sub for its strong heritage. But anyone can comment on their movement? The sub was designed as a diver's so is the movement more robust?

                      Thks

I also read the sub's steel is harder & more resistant to scratches.

Great Thread. I am also looking at these 2 watches. Anyone can recommend which AD to go to? Will AD accept credit cards or cash? thanks.

Any AD should be fine. They'll accept both cc and/or cash. Good luck!

                              Ceramic sub for me.
Prefer the brushed centre links, cleaner looks, and the lume dot which acts as a timer... The gmt bezel is abit not-so-intuitive to use as a timing method (usually for those 'see ya in 15 mins situations')

I would also go for the ceramic sub.
Just a question for fellow forumers, what are the main differences getting a rolex from overseas as compared to getting one from singapore?Does it really matter in terms of resale value in future?Cause i realised that getting it overseas are cheaper than in singapore here because of the VAT.
