should not. BUT, IMO. flinging your hands vigourously (e.g. after washing and if you are those kind that don like to use towel) might be harmful. ie a sudden jerking motion (don think astray ok, esp Johnfish. ) is never good for most mechanical watches.
I dont need another watch, I dont need another watch, I dont need another watch, I dont need another watch.........

this must be one of the funniest question i've ever heard.

hahahhhahahha....Happy CNY everyone. May health, wealth, and luck be abundance for you and your loved ones this year!!

if it can survive the highest peaks, the coldest temperature, the g-forces to space, deepest depth of the ocean... what do you think? a few claps and your accuracy would be out?

btw no auto watches are really dead accurate. Get a G-Shock with world time sync or a Grand Seiko for it's accuracy.

I actually wear my Expl II for my saturday golf games... Been doing that for years. And I'm not that good a golfer... sometimes still do "gardening" with my golf clubs... ha ha.

So far, the watch is still accurate and I don't see any ill effects....

No sure if clapping affects a watch more than impact of golf club hitting the ground...

So far the Expl II is the only sports watch I would use when I golf... wouldn't try that with with 1680 or the Nautilus ...
