  • Submariner or Sea dweller?

    Hi guys, noob here.

I cannot decide between the 2 and I know the difference is not substantial. I was quoted about 5.6k in a 2nd hand shop pre-owned piece without papers. Need to authenticate myself. Worth the trouble. AD not selling SD anymore. AD quoted 10k for the Sub C. I think it's too much. Might as well get 2 in the 2nd hand shop haha

I know I will not go wrong with both but i feel the SD is a more solid piece.
    Opinions?

    Go for SD.

If from shop, don't need to Authenticate.

personally from preowned shop i will authenticate because you never know if there may be the occasional rojak part. if too much time has lapsed, the shop may not want to entertain should you find out its not 100% genuine.

I would not prefer if without papers, unless u want to keep it forever. With papers the value is higher. Anyway SD is a good choice. I feel SD is worth collecting since it's discontinued. You can continue to wait for the Sub C to drop. Current price is still high as it's new. In a few more months or a year later, discounts should be offered though the retailed price may increase as Rolex increases the price annually or periodically.

Like bro breitling77, I prefer to get watches with papers ... Personally, I prefer SD for its 'cleaner' look (no cyclop) ... Try both on and see which suits you better ...

me anti-norm...i will go for the Sub...becoz it sit better on my slender wrist than SD...due to the flat back case

Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen

It is not stupid to own both ... if your budget can afford why not? but if you buy a SD not DSSD at SGD 10k then I would say you are a carrot loh.

Bro, how much you bought your DSSD? In Singapore? Would I get it cheaper in Europe? Going there in June...
