i'm sure u will soon, bro. but kind of funny. seems like in the resale market no one sell, no one buy, no one discuss about it

i would like to own that particular piece that Odets review. very interesting history. Rolex well known for its precision, quality and consistency workmanship happened to have such a working "flaw" piece. must be 1 in a million

suspect the 114270 bracelet is now solid links too. it seems that the later models '01 onwards all incorporated the better bracelets.

KooL.. more solid and rugged look and feel for a sport watch. think the original 14270 is a LEL. matches its 36mm size and a little "yew siew"

took a closer look at my Explorer 1 and realised that it is indeed a 14270... Anything special about it?

On the 14270 in that review, Walt Odets puts it plainly: quote"a quartz-controlled watch would provide the functionality of this watch, do it even better, do it with better reliability, do it at an appropriate purchase price, do it at much lower routine maintenance costs, and, in most cases, provide a better piece of craftsmanship in the bargain"unquote. So clearly, if u buy into the review by Walt Odets, then I'm puzzled as to why u would want to own a 14270 since it was a blanket statement of poor quality that the reviewer made on the 14270's caliber 3000 movement.
