    Come to think of it, if the new I is already at close to 8K, what will be the price of the new II (likely to launch next year) once it is launched? Nine thousand plus?! Scary..

              if you looked at the pre-owned garage, you'll see exp2s are going from anywhere between 4-5.5k for the older versions. assuming if you added a $980 service for a half-decent $5.5k exp2 with a 3186 movement to obtain a 2 year warranty and peace of mind, you're looking at almost 6.5k.

              therefore it would make sense to pay that $100-$200 more to be able to take the watch's virginity AND a new unmolested bracelet!

                $6600 for a BNIB with papers and box is a good price I must say. It was my first target but the Subc makes me drool.

                            Explorer 1 - 214270

                            G'day all,

                            {First post, so please be gentle)}

                            I was looking at a Omega Railmaster (mid size), a friend suggested looking at the new Explorer 1 (black dial; 39 mm). I took his advise, went to the local AD (Sydney) and slapped one on my wrist. Well, now I am in lust! I want one.

                            I am travelling through Singapore in the next few weeks. So, I rang a AD in Orchard Rd and also the AD in changi airport.
                            AD in town quoted rrp ~ SGD 7800
                            Ad in the airport quoted rrp (minus GST) ~SGD 7300

                            Well here are a couple of questions......
                            Is this the best I could do on price ?
                            Will I get a discount (If I asked nicely!), if I show up in person at the airport or Orchard road? If yes, what % can I expect on this model ?

                            Any advise will be appreciated.

                            Tom

                              Hi and welcome to Singapore. So far I've not heard of any discount given for this model at our ADs here. If any, it is highly likely only given to regular customers and the discount will also be meagre. The price you can get from the airport seems pretty alright. Maybe more can chip in here.
