notice that the date part has 2 different colours for different GMT versions? It's the same for Sub too...either white or champagne (yellowish white) too...

          cheers

maybe the remaining parts come from links and its pins from the bracelet.

                      • can anyone please direct me to a site where i can find out which numbers denote which original bezel came from the factory. so with the original paper i will know if the bezel insert is factory color.

im looking for a 16750 (which i believe is one with no lug holes) and preferred in black, but i can live with another color bezel and change to the one i want.

also how do i change my own bezel insert?

also where to buy alu bezel insert?

                        • RSC charges about S$80 to change bezel insert. No advisable to do it yourself, as you may compromise the water seal.

                          All 16750 have lug holes.

Can I buy the alu bezel insert myself and keep spare, since if the original watch came with pepsi, i would like to have the original, and change to black for my own use, and when i sell, i sell with pepsi bezel installed.

which gmt master series got not no lug holes.

im a bit blur when it come to this particular model.

also is the 24hr hand independent?
must ask carefully before jumping in, having said that, i do plan on selling my DJ to fund the gmt

                            • unlikely. RSC will take back the one you change it from.

And they claim you need tools to change it and that it may compromise the water tightness if you do it yourself. On this point I'm not sure they're telling the whole story because when I changed SD insert they said they test for water tightness...

but then later they had to change the crystal for me, and forgot to change the insert. When I pointed it out , they changed it within 15mins and said they didn't need to check water tightness .. so dunno.

On GMT-I , the GMT hand should show GMT time and trails the main hour hand. It is not decouplable like GMT-II. The advantage is that the date is quickset, unlike GMT-II where the hour hand goes two rounds to change ONE day.

If you are buying to use, consider GMT-II 16710 instead. It's 25% cheaper than the 16750 these days.

                              • wow... so if i change 3 times, it will cost me S$240 and nothing to show for it. ... kinda sucks. i see in the US, many people seem to get their hands on the alu bezel.
