i got 1 cm i saw today whom i spotted wearing a black bezel GMT master II. He bought at swizterland abt 1 yr ago n coverted to SGD, about $5900. Cheap ?

N also, GMT master II a bit similar to Sub except that it comes with a extra red hand to tell another time zone. In a way, its more interesting lor. Nice.

what if i tell you that on 30/06/07, someone bought a 16710 for around S$5500?

im afraid that there is more than just that red hand that is the diff between the GMT Master and Sub. both are designed and built differently.

Hey guys, my colleague offered me $4200 for a GMTII which has just been overhauled by Rolex centre last year. Comes full set witn boxes n cert bought in year 2000..
Good buy..? Or should i be looking for subs instead..?

It was ok until you said year 2000.. Haha...I think you can bargain alittle to $4k.

... that may be, but what would you pay for a GMT II vs Sub?

I got a black bezel Z-series GMT-2 for $1.5k less than the sub of equiv age. Logically, it should re-sell for less too.

For me, I'm happy... it has a GMT function, and looks more interesting than sub... and for the price of about the Sub non-date.

The one that suffers more depreciation is the sea dweller. New it costs more than sub, but resale its the same as sub.

In my book, this makes SD and GMT2 better value than sub.... which is also more common.

I beg to differ. I bought my M series Sub at a higher price than M series SD.

Anyway, on the topic of the new GMT master II, i went to KL last wekend to go there shop n eat. I went to KLCC and saw 1 offcial Rolex AD. I went in n wanna ask how much do they sell their GMT master II. The salesgirl told me 24k ringgit with no discount n need to be put on waiting list. As usual the salesgirl spoke with me with a indifferent atittude(i was wearig tee n berms).

Then i got no mood to look ar n just left.
