$8k (be it SGP, Pounds or US) still sound expensive to me bro.

New models mean any upgrade to the current model? If so, not at the moment, but it should be having new models in the coming basel 2011/2012. The 16622 has been about the same since its debut in the 90s. So a M serial is alr on the high side of 7k, P series being a older watch should be cheaper instead. Just my 2cents view.

by now after surfing through the forum and i believe u had done some leg work walking around the store after getting ur YM and i think it's pointless to ask worth it or not.If not worth it are u going back to the shop to ask for refund or discount?What's most important is to enjoy the watch and take this experience to gain more knowledge and learn much better for ur 2nd purchase in future.Cheers.
