When come to actual use I find that digital watches are more practical. They can switch between timezone with a click or 2. And also predefined time zones with DST.

How many of you (I mean "us"), spent thousands of $ on a watch mainly for practical reason? To me function like GMT on an expensive watch is a nice-to-have, while I love chronographs merely due to aesthetics reason.
Having said that...GMT is not only useful during travel, but also useful when you work with or constantly in contact with friends/relatives in a different time zone, which is very common nowadays.Watches are like potato chips - You never stop at one

Hi All
Newbie here .. spent 2 weeks reading up on the threads here and i must say its very informative !!!
I was torn between the GMT2 and the Sub2 but i dunno why i keep looking at the GMT
I travel ard the APAC region for work hence dont really need a GMT for travels but .. for work i report to US and those US hrs are a chore ... so i guess this best fits the bill.
I am on the fence about getting a brand new one at about +/- 11k or to get a preowned at a lower price ?
Seen many forumers walking into shops here n there n see this n that .. but due to my ulu-ness (i stay in east and work in east) the last time i went to orchard road was 2 yrs back ... havent even been to ION etc
So i havent got the chance to walk into shops to see the watches ... Any place to recommend for pre-owned Rolex watches besides Passions and Hobbylink (i go to Sam for RC stuffs)
Also whats the average of a pre-owned GMT2 TT ceramic .... if theres a difference of a few thousand then i might get the pre-owned and use the spare for another watch .. the Tag Autavia ..
any tips welcome ...
Gave up the idea of ebay ... just dont feel safe
thanks !
