Anyway I cant comment as never had Daytona and not eying any...for now. Would sure love to see some feedbacks from Daytona die hard fans.

After thinking for awhile i think what Christal is trying to put across. I kind of agree...this only applied to SS Daytona and why:

i) SS Daytona retail price is S$13K but AD is asking for S$17K+, where other Rolex models do have discounts, worst case retail prcie at no discount.

ii) SS Daytona always got no stock and must place booking and wait, on the other hand, TT/WG/YG Daytona got many many stocks waiting for you.

iii) Cost for servicing a Daytona is much higher then any other models.

Other then the above 3 points, i can't think of why Daytona is getting from bad to worst. Perhaps, you need to change from "end of Daytona" to "end of one to have a Daytona"

However, having said that there are a few sales posting here at reasonable price and no waiting time, so no worries on that.

Don't know about daytonas but subs are getting worse. Green dial green face, come on man who came up with that idea. But that's just my opinion... and the opinion of my friends... and of many on various forums I've read... oh wait that's quite a lot of people, isn't it?

I am also not very sure what you were referring.

IMO, I suppose he's referring to the cost of SS Daytona. Recently, I found out the asking price of SS Daytona is about 2k to 3k more than list price, depending on white or black dial. It's indeed far "cheaper" than years ago, when the asking price was 5k to 7k more than list price. I remembered SS Daytona was asking for almost 20k. So if one is comparing that to now, SS Daytona seems to become from "bad to worse". But who cares. I would rather buy a Daytona cheaper than paying overlist. However, in terms of quality, I feel current Daytona is getting from "good to better". The new clasp, chapter ring etc make Daytona a better timepiece. And the newer "panda" dials that appear on TT Daytona make Daytona a fresher look. I feel the TT Daytona with white or blue "panda" dials look great, though I prefer the SS White Daytona. I truely appreciate why SS Daytona is always "hot"! You have to see it yourself to believe it.
